The European Union (EU) is a political and economic union of 27 European countries that work together to promote peace, stability, and economic cooperation. Established through a series of treaties beginning in the mid-20th century, the EU allows for the free movement of goods, services, capital, and people among its member states. It develops common policies in areas such as trade, agriculture, environment, and regional development, while also playing a significant role in global diplomacy and international relations. Through its institutions, the EU aims to balance the interests of individual countries with shared goals that benefit the region as a whole.

Aarav Shah is a junior at CJCP and is thrilled to be the Chair for the European Union Committee this year. He can’t wait to see everything that goes on within the committee and hopes that everyone has an amazing experience at CJCPMUNC!

Suhana Suthar is a junior at Central Jersey College Prep, and she has been part of model UN since 7th grade. She has participated in several international and domestic competitions and has won several awards. Additionally, she has been part of the CJCPMUNC dias team for 3 years now. Outside of model UN, you can find her at the dance studio, building legos, or shopping.
